For the Wright Brothers, the water would be the saltwater in the Atlantic Ocean, as the two spent a great deal of time on the beaches of Kitty Hawk, NC, until their dreams of human flight literally took off. The year was 1903.

Milwaukee’s Third Ward arts scene blossoms
In Milwaukee, Wis., a city best known for its blue-collar roots, an artistic side is starting to emerge, particularly in an area known as the Third Ward. Led by the Historic Third Ward Association, recent revitalization efforts have transformed the district into a cultural magnet. Galleries now share blocks with design boutiques, trendy cafés and a public market, and the area now boasts a boardwalk that runs along the Milwaukee River.

Going to Chicago to see the Calatrava in Milwaukee
It was kinda weird thing to do. Go to Chicago for a weekend and instead of visiting Chicago art museums we headed up the coast to check out the Milwaukee Art Museum.
City tours are a business event option
Milwaukee is not considered a major tourism destination for many Americans. But VISIT Milwaukee and a few local tour guides are working hard to improve the image of the city as a visitor's destination, and they have started working with local companies to custom design tours of the city for their clients, business partners and potential employees from out of town.
