Authentic Milwaukee Experience
You don’t have to seek out an authentic, local experience in Milwaukee – it’s all right at your fingertips.
We’ve always been a city with a do-it-yourself attitude and maker culture, from the very beginning of iconic companies like Miller and Harley-Davidson that still call Milwaukee home. More than that, Milwaukee doesn’t have a “tourist” district. The restaurants, bars, shops and attractions your attendees explore are the same ones locals love. Given our residents’ propensity for striking up friendly conversation with strangers, your attendees just might end up feeling a lot like locals themselves.
Don’t worry about limp salads or soggy sandwiches - when your attendees venture out for a meal they’ll find that Milwaukee’s compact, walkable downtown is home to 115 locally-owned restaurants. Whether they’re hungry for hometown classics like bratwurst and cheese curds or authentic bahn-mi, every appetite can be satisfied. And odds are good that the eggs, produce and even the meat on the table have been locally sourced.
A bar without a few local brews on tap is rare, and we even like our coffee locally-brewed. You’re as likely to see a colorful sugar skull (a mark of local roaster and cafe Colectivo Coffee) as that familiar green mermaid.
Only In Milwaukee
Milwaukee’s one-of-a-kind experiences don’t stop at food. The Wisconsin Center is filled with $1.2 million of public art created by Wisconsin artists. Our off-site special event venues include “only in Milwaukee” favorites like the world’s only Harley-Davidson Museum, the architecturally stunning Milwaukee Art Museum and the Pabst Mansion, once the family home of beer baron Captain Frederick Pabst.
When you bring your event to Milwaukee, you can get a full Milwaukee experience from your morning cup of coffee to your nightcap. This is a city with a strong community vibe – and as long as you’re in town, you’re part of it.
