Advertising/Sponsorship Opportunities
Members have many opportunities to promote themselves in VISIT Milwaukee publications, co-op marketing and advertising pieces, or sponsorship of VISIT Milwaukee activities and events.
Business referrals and leads
VISIT Milwaukee refers and utilizes only the services of its membership. Advertising, sales, and marketing will be reflective of those businesses that support the organization as members.
Daily Exposure
Tourism-related members gain additional exposure through daily events presented on the Greater Milwaukee hold line.
Dine-Around Service
For conventions of 1,000 or more delegates, VISIT Milwaukee Visitor Information staff is equipped with a complimentary Restaurant Reservation Service featuring all member restaurants.
Educational Seminars
VISIT Milwaukee coordinates affordable educational seminars of value in which members are advised how to better reach the visitor and convention markets.
Internet Based Housing
The Internet-based housing (convention and leisure) reservation system, allows both meeting planners and hotels instant a
ccess to inventory reports, attendee information, and more. There is no fee to participate, however, a per reservation fee for convention housing or a commission for leisure housing will be assessed to the hotel.
Master Convention Calendar
This much-coveted confidential calendar lists trade shows, conventions, and other meetings scheduled in the Greater Milwaukee area and available only to current VISIT Milwaukee members. It provides key contact information and gives the size and scope of the meeting. It is available on our web site (http://www.visitmilwaukee.org) in the members-only section.
Membership Mixers
These social gatherings provide members the opportunity to network with one another and key VISIT Milwaukee staff. Annual events include the Annual Meeting, Spring Showcase and Golf Outing.
Milwaukee Film Office
VISIT Milwaukee's public relations department works with Film Wisconsin to promote and attract film directors and producers to utilize Greater Milwaukee locations as film sites. In turn, VISIT Milwaukee refers its members to film crews to provide necessary services when filming in Milwaukee.

are in town each month, as well as the demographics of the delegates and the economic impact they have on our city.
Motorcoach/Group Tour Leads
Names and addresses of tour operators/planners who have indicated an interest in the Greater Milwaukee area are forwarded to members on a monthly basis. Motorcoach leads will also be communicated to members following representation at the National Tour Association and American Bus Association Marketplace Annual Conventions.
National Exhibits
VISIT Milwaukee regularly takes its "show on the road" to exhibit at national trade shows and conferences to promote Greater Milwaukee to meeting planners, motorcoach operators and travel writers. Members have the opportunity to reach meeting planners though participation with VISIT Milwaukee convention sales staff at national industry trade shows and sales missions.
New Member Orientation & Refresher Course
New members and new employees of current members are invited to meet with VISIT Milwaukee staff and learn how each department works to promote member businesses to meeting planners, group tour planners, and visitors.
Press Tours/Travel Writers
VISIT Milwaukee public relations department conducts several press tours every year and sets up individual familiarization tours for the press upon request. Through a cooperative effort between VISIT Milwaukee and its members, freelance writers and travel editors are given a comprehensive tour of Greater Milwaukee. This in-depth look at Greater Milwaukee allows writers to highlight Milwaukee's assets in their local markets.
Specialized Mailing Lists
Members may request any of several mailing lists currently available through our computer system. We maintain updated lists for the local media, National Tour Association, American Bus Association, trade media, VISIT Milwaukee members and "tourism partners" (people who own or operate tourism-related businesses). These lists may be used by members as a resource for promotional opportunities.
Visitor Information Centers
VISIT Milwaukee operates a full-time visitor information center and staffs a visitor information call center. The visitor information center is located at the Midwest Airlines Center. The call center is located in the VISIT Milwaukee corporate offices. Visitor information staff distribute member literature and offer tourism-related suggestions and recommendations to travelers.
Window Decals
Members receive VISIT Milwaukee decals to alert visitors and convention delegates of their association with our organization.

VISIT Milwaukee Members receive a free listing on the VISIT Milwaukee Web Site. Basic listings will include location information, a short description, live email link and display of Web site address. Enhanced Web Listings, Banner Advertising and other Sponsorship Opportunities are available to VISIT Milwaukee members and qualified marketing partners. In 2007 there were well over 2.1 million unique visitors to the site.
