VISIT Milwaukee adds three members to marketing and communications team

MILWAUKEE (March 20, 2017) Claire Hanan has joined the communications team at VISIT Milwaukee as a communications manager. Emily Tau joins the VISIT team as a communications coordinator. Both will work with travel writers to showcase the best of the Greater Milwaukee area and increase the economic impact of tourism in the region. Amanda Buhrman has joined the marketing team as digital marketing manager. Ms. Buhrman will lead VISIT Milwaukee’s website redesign and will be responsible for all digital marketing efforts.

Ms. Hanan comes to VISIT Milwaukee from Milwaukee Magazine, where she served most recently as a senior editor. Ms. Tau comes by way of Design Fugitives, an art and architectural design firm, where served as the head of administration and marketing. Ms. Buhrman was the E-Commerce Program Manager at technology consulting firm Perficient.

Ms. Hanan previously worked for book publisher Simon & Schuster, and received her undergraduate degree from University of Missouri in 2010. Before Design Fugitives, Ms. Tau worked at popular Milwaukee restaurant AJ Bombers for nearly six years, serving as the general manager in her final year with the company. She graduated from Marquette University in 2010. For the last 10 years, Ms. Buhrman has in a number of digital marketing roles. She graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2007 with her associates degree in marketing management.
