Milwaukee…You Have a Rock Star!

Aaron Bartko from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio Wins $10,000 VISIT Milwaukee Sweepstakes

MILWAUKEE- July 3, 2012- A rock star is born! Aaron Bartko of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, is the winner of VISIT Milwaukee’s “Party Like A Rock Star” sweepstakes, a prize package worth more than $10,000. The red carpet rolls out for Bartko and his “entourage” of three July 5-8.

Bartko’s first trip to Milwaukee will be one to remember, with a bucket list worthy of rock star royalty. Southwest Airlines is providing round-trip transportation for the group, who will stay in luxury boutique Hotel Metro in the heart of Milwaukee’s downtown. Bartko said that he is very excited to visit Milwaukee and experience star treatment.

The sweepstakes, which was hosted by VISIT Milwaukee, ran from May 17 through June 15, 2012 with opportunities to enter via the organization’s web site and Facebook page. “The “Party Like a Rock Star” sweepstakes was a creative and exciting way to generate buzz about Milwaukee as a vacation destination,” said Jeannine Sherman, director of public relations at VISIT Milwaukee. “It allowed us to play off our location as the home of the world’s largest music festival, Summerfest, and showcase Milwaukee in a different way than we’ve done in the past. It was our most popular sweepstakes to date.” The sweepstakes had a total of 9,510 entries, with almost 7,000 of those from outside Wisconsin.

Along with airfare and deluxe accommodations, the “Party Like a Rock Star” sweepstakes winners will receive:
