Top ‘o the morning to you! This St. Patrick’s Day, find your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in Milwaukee. From the hue of your favorite amber brew to a golden-brown pot of mouthwatering cheese curds, all signs point to the Brew City as your hub for this Irish celebration. All weekend, celebrate the day with events and activities throughout the Milwaukee area! Check out some of these stops and plan your St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans today! 
 

Festive Eats

Grab a bite and a beverage with a side of entertainment at County Clare, one of Milwaukee’s authentic Irish Pubs and Restaurants. On Saturday, March 11, County Clare will host a massive post-parade party at the pub and in a tent-stage area. Beginning at 10 a.m., enjoy Irish music from traditional Irish rock to Highland bagpipes. 

You can’t celebrate all day if you don’t start in the morning! At Mo’s Irish Pub get up early for kegs and eggs, beginning at 7 a.m. On March 11, come for the parade and stay for an afternoon of live music and Irish dancing. Then, on the official St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, celebrate the day with pints of green beer and live entertainment beginning at 11 a.m. 


Shuffle, Stroll, or Crawl

Shamrock Shuffle 

Choose your own adventure with the Shamrock Shuffle on March 4. Shuffle your way through the bar crawl feeling lucky with no cover charges at bars, food and drink specials, and live entertainment throughout. This event benefits Special Olympics of Wisconsin and other local charities, so have an amazing day out for a great cause! Slainte! 

Explorium “Kill the Keg” Pub Crawl 

Follow the rainbow to the Explorium “Kill the Keg” Pub Crawl, March 17! Kick the crawl off with a rich Explorium Dry Irish Stout or Silgo Irish Red at the brewery’s Third Ward location, then embark on the walking pub crawl, a four-leaf clover of bars and breweries throughout Walker’s Point. Grab a beer at each of the locations and raise a glass to St. Paddy’s Day. 

Milwaukee Shamrock St. Paddy’s Shamrock Stroll Pub Crawl 

Sham-rock and stroll at the St. Paddy’s Shamrock Stroll Pub Crawl! On March 18, don your favorite outfit and hit the town without all the blarney of covers. Make your way to more than four venues for festive drinks, food and drink specials, and live entertainment. A very social crawl, the Shamrock Stroll also offers a photographer and videographer to capture all the action, a social media contest, and a costume contest.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade 

On March 11, bring the whole family to the 55th Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Stepping off at noon, dress in your finest green apparel and take in bagpipers, Irish dance troupes, the always popular Irish wolfhounds, and much more along the route. 

Lucky Leprechaun 7k 

Looking for a heart-pumping way to kick off St. Patrick’s Day? Run like you’re chasing a mischievous leprechaun at the Lucky Leprechaun 7K Run & Walk. Starting and finishing in Hart Park, run or walk the 7K course through scenic Wauwatosa for a bottle-opening finishers metal and two golden Miller Lites. Burn some calories for a cause! Proceeds from this race will benefit the MACC Fund,  

Passport to Ireland CelticMKE 

Take a trip to Ireland without leaving Milwaukee with the Passport to Ireland event by Celtic MKE. On Sunday, March 12, the CelticMKE Center will transform the three-floor center into nine different counties in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Journey around the country with a series of interactive activities for the whole family as well as Irish dance performances, and a live music show.  

Glorioso’s St Patrick’s Day Feast of the Irish 

On March 17, learn to craft a traditional Irish meal at Glorioso’s St. Patrick’s Day Feast of the Irish cooking class. Discover the secrets to making a mouthwatering corned beef and cabbage meal with carrots and potatoes. Then, for a sumptuous treat, learn to make Guinness chocolate cupcakes with shamrock green Bailey’s Irish whipped cream.

What would St. Patrick’s Day be without Irish dancing? Join No Studios on March 17 for a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration ft. Milwaukee Irish Dance Company. Take in the display and watch in awe as the incredible Irish dance troupe pushes the boundaries of traditional Irish dance with collaborations and distinct fusion choreography.
