Celebrate Diwali in Milwaukee
Taking place during the Hindu lunisolar month of Kartika, Diwali is considered India’s biggest and most important holiday celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. This festival of lights is named for the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) lit during Diwali celebrations, a symbol of inner light protecting from spiritual darkness.
