Anatomy of a Public Market

Located in the city's historic Commission Row, the Milwaukee Public Market is now your one-stop shop for prepared food, grocery, gifts, and more. Nearly 20 local vendors are located under one roof in what Frommers named one of America's best public markets.

Giant Crab

Located at the east end of the market, this inflatable crab welcomes visitors to St. Paul Fish Company, the home of Milwaukee’s most affordable lobster dinner and the best loster roll outside of Boston.

Find the best specilaty and Wisconsin-made items ranging from cured meats and cheeses to fresh baked bread and artisan olive oils. Grab a bottle of wine or six-pack of beer for a perfect picnic.

Sweet Treats

Treat yourself to pastries, candies, and ice cream (including vegan ice cream!) at popular vendors.

No meat? No problem! There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options from market vendors, including the entirely vegan On The Bus.

Local Swag

For a Milwaukee souvenir that’s both stylish and sassy, the Brew City Promotions kiosk is the place to go.

Wine Bar

Try a glass, a flight, or grab a bottle to take home at Thief Wine. If you purchase a meal elsewhere in the market, feel free to bring it here to enjoy with some wine.

St. Paul Palapa

Just off the east side of the market, this outdoor thatched-roof bar provides an island getaway in the heart of the city.

Upper Deck

Head up above the crowd for a place to sit and enjoy your meal, excellent people-watching, culinary classes and other special events.
