Ask LeRoy
Milwaukee's First AI-Powered Augmented Reality Sales Rep and Guide
Visit Milwaukee is changing the way people experience the city with Ask LeRoy, an AI-powered augmented reality (AR) sales representative. The experience makes its debut on August 26, 2025 at Connect Marketplace in Miami, one of the nation’s leading meetings and conventions tradeshows.
By scanning a QR code with a smartphone camera, visitors see Pro Football Hall of Famer and Lambeau Leap inventor LeRoy Butler appear as a lifelike 3D avatar. Once he arrives, LeRoy greets guests, highlights Milwaukee’s meetings and conventions scene, and answers questions about everything from venue specifications at the expanded Baird Center to recommendations for local dining and attractions.
What Makes Ask LeRoy Unique
Ask LeRoy combines entertainment with real information, creating an interactive way to learn about Milwaukee while adding a tech-forward, memorable touch. The tool draws from official Visit Milwaukee resources, ensuring that the answers are accurate and up to date.
Ask LeRoy is not meant to replace the personal connection of the Visit Milwaukee sales team. Instead, he serves as a conversation starter that helps planners and visitors engage more deeply with staff.

On the Road and Back Home
The debut in Miami is only the beginning. Through the rest of 2025 the Visit Milwaukee sales team will take Ask LeRoy on the road to tradeshows nationwide. Meeting planners across the country will get a firsthand look at Milwaukee’s innovation and hospitality.
Back home, Ask LeRoy will also become part of the Milwaukee experience itself. QR code signage will be placed at the Baird Center, as well as at locations in Downtown Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, and Glendale. This means business travelers and leisure visitors alike will be able to meet LeRoy, learn about the city, and get insider tips while exploring Milwaukee.
Questions to Ask LeRoy
When LeRoy pops up, try asking things like:
- “What can I do while I’m in Milwaukee?”
- “Where are the best places to eat?”
- “What makes Milwaukee a good place for meetings and events?”
LeRoy is ready with answers that will help you get to know the city better, whether you are here for business or fun.
