Father’s Day fun is around every corner in Milwaukee! A day to celebrate your dad (or father figure) and the meaningful impact he’s made in your life, this is your chance to show him how much he means to you.

And, while we’re sure he’d love to add another tie, tool or piece of grill equipment to his collection, how about we get him something he really wants? How about we give him an incredible experience that he’ll remember for years to come. Well, you’re in luck. There’s a stop for every pop.

Milwaukee Golf Erin Hills

For the Golfer

Swing life away and hit the links with Dad. Tee up a terrific time with a round at one of Milwaukee’s many golf courses. Here in America’s top golf destination, you’ll encounter majestic landscapes that’ll take your breath away and challenging courses that’ll have you holding your breath as you hope your ball doesn’t find that water hazard. The best state for public golf in the nation, according to Golf Digest, 11 of the publication’s top 100 public courses are located right here in our state. Five of these courses are less than an hour’s drive from downtown, including the 2021 Ryder Cup host, Whistling Straits, and the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open host, Erin Hills, as well as Blackwolf Run Golf Course. With 22 to choose from in the Greater Milwaukee area, Brown Deer Golf Course to the Lake Park pitch-and-putt, any way you slice it (and we hope you don’t), there’s a perfect course for you and your dad.

Want to brush up on your game and take some cuts with your dad on Father’s Day? Head over to Luxe Golf Bays or TopGolf Swing Suites in 3rd Street Market Hall to polish your game. Or, if you feel like making a special day of it, head to the Brewers game on Sunday and book a session at X-Golf inside American Family Field for a double-play of sporting excitement.

For the Fanatic

Roll out the Barrel with your dad at a Milwaukee Brewers game! On Sunday, the suddenly surging Brew Crew will close out their 10-game homestand with a matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals. Shrugging off a slow start to the season, since the beginning of June, the Brewers have looked like genuine contenders to three-peat as N.L. Central Champions for the first time in franchise history. Led by the red-hot bat of Christian Yelich, Brice Turang and last year’s Rookie of the Year candidate Joey Ortiz, the Brewers will look to close out the series strong amid a festive Father’s Day atmosphere, making it a matchup you and your dad won’t want to miss.

As if you needed another reason to get your tickets, the first 10,000 ticketed fans 21+ will receive a cooler backpack featuring the iconic Barrel Man mascot.

Lupi & Iris

For the Foodie

Treat your dad to the bold flavors of the Fresh Coast this Father’s Day. Many Milwaukee restaurants have special menus for Father’s Day, so, whether you’re looking to mark the occasion with a brunch at a dining destination featured on “Top Chef: Wisconsin” like Lupi & Iris, a juicy steak dinner at Joey Gerard's or the spicy "Papa Arrabbiata" pasta at The Pasta Tree Restaurant & Wine Bar, no matter what your dad is craving, you’ll find something to help him savor the occasion.

For the Music Lover

Who doesn’t love a little dad rock? On Father’s Day, longtime Heartbreaker (of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs are lighting the marquee of the Pabst Theater. Dazzling fans with his trademark sound, guitar skills and showmanship, the evening will include music from Campbell’s three studio albums and maybe a few Petty covers along the way.

There’s always more to see in the Milwaukee Theater District, though! If you’re looking to extend your celebration, on Friday night, you can also check out Great Moments in Grand Opera at the Bradley Symphony Center and Ledisi with special guest Marsha Ambrosius at The Riverside Theater.

Just rent a kayak from Forward OutdoorBrew City Kayak or Milwaukee Kayak Company, hop aboard and immerse yourself in the cityscape as you make your way to the Hoan Bridge, local bars, restaurants, and breweries along the river and more!

For the Art Lover

Throughout the city, you’ll find numerous art galleries, museums and exhibitions showcasing pieces from talented local artists to world-renowned icons. Even as you drive around town, walk the city streets or explore certain alleys, you’ll find inspiration around every corner. But resting on the shores of Lake Michigan, you’ll find the crown jewel of these, the Milwaukee Art Museum, which houses over 32,000 works across its 40 galleries, with notable artists including names like O’Keeffe, Kandinsky, Picasso, Monet and more calling the museum home.

On Father’s Day, dads can see all these and more for free, with free admission to the Milwaukee Art Museum. Take Dad to the museum, then see even more unique works as you stroll along Wisconsin Avenue at installations from Sculpture Milwaukee.
