MORNING

9:30 AM

Begin your day at the Lynden Sculpture Garden which offers a unique experience of art in nature through its collection of more than 50 monumental sculptures sited across 40 acres of park, lake, and woodland. Easily viewed with up-close vantage points – a must see collection!

11:00 AM

The Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum is a magnificent 1923 Italian Renaissance-style villa built as a private residence overlooking Lake Michigan. It’s filled with 15th-18th century decorative arts, wrought iron, changing museum exhibits, concerts, and programs. A beautiful view is only steps outside on the eastern balcony where you are presented with a view of the formal tiered gardens as well as Lake Michigan.

AFTERNOON

12:30 PM

Lunch is next at Zilli’s Café in the Boerner Botanical Gardens. Your group will enjoy this delightful café with a beautiful view of the gardens.

2:00 PM

Once lunch is completed enjoy the Boerner Botanical Gardens, Milwaukee’s Living Museum. These gardens became an official test site in 1960 for All America Rose Selections, one of only 23 in the country. Over 400 varieties of roses and flowers are currently undergoing trial and are accessible for viewing.

4:00 PM

After exploring the gardens, take a step back in time at Trimborn Farm located only minutes from the Gardens. This is a unique example of a mid-19th century industrial and farming complex. Nine original buildings, including lime kilns, a Greek revival farmhouse, granary built with brick nogging, and one of the largest stone barns in Wisconsin.
