Eric Church, one of the world's biggest country music superstars, is coming to Milwaukee's American Family Field on May 28. To celebrate such a huge concert, we planned a perfect day out in Milwaukee, inspired by Church's song "Hell of a View".
Stop 1 Wake up at Colectivo Coffee on the Lakefront. Start your beautiful day with some coffee or tea at this historic building, built in 1888, as the Milwaukee River Flushing Station. Located just across the street from Lake Michigan, it’s the perfect spot to watch the sun climb in the morning sky.
Stop 2 Walk Veterans Park. This expansive park area along Lake Michigan and the Veterans Park Lagoon offers superb natural and man-made views, including a stellar look at Milwaukee’s growing skyline.
Stop 3 Take the iconic Harley-Davidson Museum Tour. At the museum, you’ll see more than 450 motorcycles and artifacts, dating back to the oldest known Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Serial Number One. Hear stories of the extraordinary products, people, history, and Harley-Davidson culture during this one-of-a-kind outing.
Lunch Have a cold one at City Lights Brewing Company. Nestled in the Menomonee River Valley with a beautiful beer garden overlooking the Menomonee River, this distinctive brewery is open 7 days a week for drinks and food.
Stop 4 Bublr Bike the Hank Aaron State Trail. The nonprofit Bublr Bikes bike share program makes bicycling accessible to the public through an easy-to-use rental system. Rent a bike near the Mitchell Park Domes at the intersection of South Layton Boulevard and West Pierce Street, then ride a portion of the beautiful Hank Aaron State Trail.
Stop 5 Marvel at the Mitchell Park Domes. After returning your bike, walk over to the Mitchell Park Domes, which has thousands of wild and wonderful plants growing and blooming inside its tropical, desert, and floral domes.
Stop 6 Check-in at your favorite Milwaukee hotel.
Dinner Grab a bite at Zocalo Food Park. This food destination’s mission is to nurture partnerships with food entrepreneurs and create an ecosystem that unites people in Milwaukee through food.
