National Account Executive (DC)
What year did you start at VISIT Milwaukee?
What is your local organization involvement?
Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Association Meeting Professionals (AMPs), Reston / Herdon Meeting Planners (RHMP), CVBReps
What is your favorite/most inspirational thing about your job?
I have a passion for people, relationships and learning. There is an association out there for everything, but sometimes I am even surprised! I often say that I am a chameleon, as we partner with people and organizations from around the globe. These organizations are unique and diverse in what they do, want to accomplish and who the attendees are... I am always learning. Conferences bring people together, educate and make a difference in the world, which makes me smile.
What is your personal background?
Born and raised a Midwesterner from a suburb of Cleveland, OH (Mentor). I have 2 adorable girls: Dori (7) and Michaela (4) who keep me quite busy and up-to-date on the latest technology. I currently reside in Falls Church City, VA (a suburb of Washington, DC) where for the past 10 years, I was an account executive in hospitality for convention hotels in Washington, DC.
What is something fun about you?
My girls are both redheads. In my free time, I enjoy a good strong coffee, heading out to Virginia wine country or working on my “swing” with a game of tennis. My volunteer efforts in my local community in 2021 include co-producing the Tinner Hill Music Festival.
What are some "can't miss" Milwaukee experiences?
I am new to the Milwaukee scene and do not live local, but I am spreading the word about why Milwaukee is so unique and charming! Walkable, affordable, friendly people, the Wisconsin Center expansion opening 2024, culture in the neighborhoods and cuisine. While in town you will hear the locals talking... city of festivals, beer gardens, old fashioneds, bloody marys, frozen custard and cheese curds!
What is your favorite Milwaukee memory?
I joined VISIT in July 2021, the same month the NBA Bucks won the championship! What great exposure for the city… they created a fan out of me! The energy and passion is contagious.
