The Holler House is the oldest sanctioned bowling alley in the United States. It was opened in 1908 by Mike and Constance Skowronski and has remained in the Skowronski family for 5 generations. This is classic old-time bowling as the bowling pins are set by hand and the scores are done in pencil on score sheets attached on the wall. The Holler House has bowling leagues four days a week and the lanes are available for reservations the remaining days.

Things You'll Find:

  1. The bra hanging started by Marcy Skowronski and her friends 50 years ago. The custom is if you'r a woman coming in for the first time, you have to hang up your bra. It is not encouraged but most of the patrons don't discourage it either.
  2. It's a great place to hang out. Once you come in for more than a couple of times you almost become part of the family.
