Drawing inspiration from a London club, the Madcap Lounge is a walk-down within the National Block building and just one floor removed from The George. Thoughtfully designed to offer guests a thoroughly unique and intimate experience, the space is made up of multiple vignettes.

  1. Over 100 pieces of artwork live within the two spaces, all created by local Wisconsin artists, telling stories of the last 100+ years. The building was set to meet its fate by a wrecking ball almost 5 years ago until its current ownership group came upon it and saw its potential, purchasing it for just a couple hundred dollars. The George was named after George Walker.

Drawing inspiration from a London club, the Madcap Lounge is just one floor removed from The George. Thoughtfully designed to offer a thoroughly unique and intimate experience. The Madcap Lounge may be reserved with The George or on its own. It’s a perfect setting for meetings, pre- and post-event cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners and other special celebrations. Need to get ready for your event? The Celebration Suite offers the perfect place. A powder room and well-stocked refrigerator round out the amenities in this very special space, which accommodates 20 guests. The Celebration Suite is also available for small gatherings pre- and post-event – imagine wardrobe fittings, showers and gift openings.
