The City boasts numerous community organizations specializing in education, youth, seniors, historic preservation, recycling, public health, parks, religion, and more.

Locals love the caring, connected neighborhoods they live in and have formed 29 neighborhood associations dedicated to making each neighborhood a friendly, fun and safe place to live and play. Activities range from Nighttime Trick-or-Treating to Easter Egg Hunts, book clubs, wine clubs, and senior groups. The 29 associations are governed by a Neighborhood Association Council which brings all neighborhoods together and organizes three city-wide events, the All-City Read program in February, the Windows in Wauwatosa tour of historical buildings in June, and the All-City Cribbage tournament in November.

It was a passionate group of volunteers, Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool, that came together to restore Hoyt Park and build an outdoor community pool to bring swimming back to Tosa.

All of these active community groups and organizations serve as the eyes, ears and heart of Wauwatosa, making it the jewel it is today.
