The Milwaukee Torrent plays in the National Professional Soccer League’s Midwest region. Started in 2016, the Torrent represents the next era of professional soccer in Wisconsin. Starting in 2017, the club began playing in Wauwatosa’ Hart Park, and in 2018, they will add a women’s team. The organization’s mission is to make professional soccer accessible to everyone in Milwaukee and across the state; plus, many of the team’s players have Wisconsin ties.
Wauwatosa’s Hart Park has a capacity of 4,625 and has hosted numerous events including Marquette University High School and Wauwatosa East football games, Marquette University lacrosse games as well as other events from other Milwaukee area teams and organizations. The 35-acre park is located along the Menomonee River and is also home to a nature park and hiking trails, a picnic area, playground and a public ice rink. The Milwaukee Torrent season kicks off in late April each year.
