What year did you start at Visit Milwaukee?

What makes working at Visit Milwaukee special?

I think it's inspiring to be surrounded by people who are so dedicated and appreciative of their community. Milwaukee has so many special things happening and Visit Milwaukee provides such care towards helping others find and experience those special things. Being able to support my community and promote the vibrancy of the city makes my job fulfilling and fun.

What is something fun about you?

I have a lot of hobbies and am always trying new things! From ultimate frisbee to baking bread and watercolor, I love to stay busy and do things I haven't done before. The next things on my list to try are soap making, growing an herb garden, creating collages, and writing short stories.

What do you consider a "can't miss" Milwaukee experience?

There are so many cool things to do in Milwaukee, but I think a good formula to see the city is 1 local coffee shop, 1 attraction (indoor or outdoor),1 outdoor experience and dinner on the town. Ideally, I would start with Pilcrow's rotating cold brew flight, followed up with visiting the Domes, then travel to the east side to play some card games at the Juneau Beer Garden, maybe even hit up the beach with a book. Finally, I would finish with dinner at DanDan's. Bonus points if a local custard place has a flavor of the day that's calling to you.

If you could only eat one Milwaukee staple food forever, what would it be?

Since I classify my favorite food to be anything sweet and cold (smoothies, popsicles, ice cream, etc. ), I am a big fan of Milwaukee's custard options. You can't go wrong with any of the local establishments, but Kopp's rootbeer malt has a special place in my heart.
