CEO of Milwaukee Downtown BID #21
Matt Dorner is the Chief Executive Officer of Milwaukee Downtown, Business Improvement District #21 (BID #21), an organization dedicated to advancing the interests of Milwaukee’s downtown business community. BID #21 plays a pivotal role in ensuring a clean, safe, welcoming, and economically vibrant downtown through its diverse programs and core services. The district encompasses approximately 150 downtown blocks and represents more than 400 commercial property owners.
With over a decade of service as the CEO and formerly as Milwaukee Downtown’s Economic Development Director, Matt has collaborated extensively with public, private, and nonprofit stakeholders to drive development initiatives, attract and retain businesses, and support talent growth throughout downtown Milwaukee.
Before his tenure at Milwaukee Downtown, Matt served as the Assistant Community Development Director for the Village of Menomonee Falls. He holds dual master’s degrees in Urban Planning and Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
