Today VISIT Milwaukee announced the launch of the Brew City Beer Pass, which offers visitors and locals the perfect opportunity to have great beer on a great lake. Starting Sept. 14, this free pass will allow users to redeem buy one, get one (BOGO) beer from some of the best breweries in the Greater Milwaukee area.

“Milwaukee knows how to make great beer, and now everyone can enjoy two beers for the price of one at more than 20 of the best brewery locations around the city,” said Peggy Williams-Smith, president and CEO of VISIT Milwaukee. “I cannot think of a better way to support these remarkable local businesses who continue our legacy of being an amazing beer destination. Whether it’s an IPA, stout, porter, lager, pilsner, or even something sour, the breweries participating in this pass have something for everybody.”

To make suds-soaked adventures through Brew City even sweeter, VISIT Milwaukee will give a free koozie to those who check-in at five of the participating breweries and a free T-shirt to anyone who checks in at 10 of the breweries on the pass. Participants who check-in at every participating brewery will be entered to win the Ultimate Brew City Beer Pass Prize Pack.

VISIT Milwaukee will celebrate the launch of the pass with a party at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Lakefront Brewery. This free party is open to the public and will include a free Milwaukee beer-themed raffle.

How It Works

The Brew City Beer Pass is built for use on mobile devices; however, the pass is unique in that it doesn’t require users to download an app. Beginning September 14, all a user must do is sign up for the free pass on VISIT Milwaukee’s website, and then the pass is saved to the user’s home screen. Once at a participating brewe ry, the user will check in on the pass and then redeem the buy one, get one offer by showing the pass to a staff member.
