Milwaukee thanks the Republican National Convention for choosing to our world-class city in to host their event in 2024. Home to a thriving arts, entertainment and dining scene; booming business and architectural development; and diverse, passionate locals, Milwaukee is a choice destination for business and leisure travelers alike. The 2024 RNC was held in the heart of downtown at Fiserv Forum and Wisconsin Center District, Milwaukee’s convention center campus with three unique facilities – Baird Center, UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and the Miller High Life Theatre to the delight of thousands of visitors and media.

What was the RNC’s economic impact to the Greater Milwaukee area?

Total expected economic impact to the area is $200 million – this includes direct, indirect, and induced spending. Direct spending is the money delegates and attendees pay for hotels, bars, restaurants, car rentals, venue rentals, etc. Indirect spending includes vendors or businesses who have an increase in production because of the convention. Induced spending includes wages paid to workers as a result of the increased business from the convention, that later gets reinvested into the community.
