Beginning today, new Cream City resident, Josh Albrecht, VISIT Milwaukee’s vice president of marketing and communications and lifelong Milwaukeean, Josh Albrecht, on-air talent and executive producer at 97.3 The Game, embark on an adventure to uncover the hidden gems that make Milwaukee a great city on a Great Lake with the launch of the "Joshing Around Milwaukee" podcast and vlog. Together the Josh Albrechts explore the city’s must-dos to celebrate the people and places that make Milwaukee one of the best cities in the world.

“I connected with the 97.3 The Game’s Josh Albrecht on social media before I worked for VISIT Milwaukee and was happy to find much in common with him when we finally got to meet in person,” says VISIT Milwaukee’s Josh Albrecht. “The idea for the podcast grew from there and has always been rooted in our love for this community and desire to find new and interesting ways to promote it to the world.”

The witty, free-form podcast and vlog will be distributed through VISIT Milwaukee and Drink Wisconsinbly’s social media channels, iHeart Radio app and podcast channels, and VISIT Milwaukee’s YouTube channel. The first episode, released today, features the Joshs discussing their love for Milwaukee at the two-story entertainment mecca Whirlyball. The twice-monthly episodes will highlight Milwaukee institutions and hidden gems alike in inventive ways.

“Milwaukee has the most passionate people who care so deeply about everything that is Milwaukee,” says 97.3 The Game’s Josh Albrecht. “They work hard, play hard and make the most out of each day. That's why I love it and will always call it home.”

“We always look for new and interesting ways to promote Milwaukee, and while we’re not new to podcast advertising, this is VISIT Milwaukee's first foray into podcast creation,” says VISIT Milwaukee’s Josh Albrecht. “Podcast listeners tend to be more engaged in the medium than most, so we are confident this will allow us to reach new potential visitors – and even future residents – in a lighthearted, informative way.”

Episodes will also be available on VISIT Milwaukee’s “Good Things Brewing” TV show's social media channels.
