A lot has happened this month. You know it, I know it, we all know it. Let’s address the elephant in the room. About a week ago, the Milwaukee Bucks traded two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat along with fan favorite Bobby Portis. It was a tough day for Bucks fans everywhere. Giannis’ relationship with the city of Milwaukee over his 13-year career here has been unlike any other in the NBA, and his success in bringing the Larry O’Brien Trophy home to the Cream City is something that we’ll always remember.
That said, life goes on in the world of sports. The Bucks now have a young team to build around in the coming years. The Milwaukee Brewers are once again leading the NL Central. The World Cup is taking the nation by storm; the Tour of America’s Dairyland just wrapped up; and right around the corner, we’re getting ready to host USA Triathlon for our sixth time in seven years. Now that the cloud of trade rumors has subsided, let’s dive into it!
World Cup in Milwaukee
If you’ve been keeping your eye on the World Cup, you’ll notice that Milwaukee is not a host of this year’s tournament. But that doesn’t mean we don’t know how to make the most of a good time. While a home for the Brewers and the Bucks, Milwaukee also loves the world's game, with several major clubs like Bavarian United Soccer Club, Croatian Eagles Soccer Club and Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club, all developing the next generation of players.

Tour of America's Dairyland
Fans of the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia or La Vuelta a España, We present to you the Tour of America’s Dairyland. Wrapping up yesterday, the 11-day stage race throughout the Greater Milwaukee area as well as a few outlying destinations careened across the region with topographically diverse courses that ranged from flashes of flat-out criterium speed to challenging climbs and even more difficult descents. A festival of all things cycling, this annual event draws more than 70,000 people throughout the race before finishing in the Village of Wauwatosa.
Venue Spotlight: Bradford Beach
Milwaukee’s location along Lake Michigan gives our city something of a coastal flavor, with long stretches of beach looking out at a seemingly endless inland sea. Welcome to Bradford Beach. Milwaukee’s most popular beach is also one of the nation’s most accessible beaches, with a 100-foot Mobi Mat running from the pedestrian path all the way down to the water’s edge and free beach wheelchair checkout so that everyone can enjoy the natural splendor of the beach. It’s also a serious summer oasis for volleyball lovers, with more than 40 courts that host leagues and pick-up games throughout the summer.
