As the days count down to 2026, there’s so much going on in our city. There’s the Kwik Trip Holiday Face Off99, the Milwaukee Wave99 kick off this week, the Wisconsin Badgers play Villanova at Fiserv Forum88 this Friday and the Bucks and Marquette Golden Eagles are in session.

Sports Milwaukee Holidays 2025

As we look back on the year that was, we count ourselves lucky to host groups like USA WrestlingUSA FencingUS SpeedskatingUSA TriathlonNCAA Men's Basketball ChampionshipsBig East VolleyballOireachtasIndyCar and so many others in Milwaukee this past year, bringing thousands of athletes and their families to our city to experience everything we have to offer.

AVCA First Serv Teams

Just announced earlier today, Milwaukee is set to host AVCA First Serve11 in 2026. Taking place August 21-23, the event will bring some of the top women’s college volleyball programs in the country to our city in an early-season clash that is must-watch TV. Airing on ESPN and Fox Sports, this event is expected to draw more than 2.6 million viewers during the three days of play. Tickets go on sale on January 30. Stop, collaborate and listen, the ice is back for speedskating action. After the New Year, the pace quickly ramps up at the Pettit National Ice Center for the 2026 US Olympic Team Trials Long Track Championships. Taking place January 2-5, the top speedskaters in the country will head out to the ice center with dreams of lining up at the starting line in Milan, Italy as they represent Team USA with the chance to bring home the gold. Wisconsin features three Olympic hopefuls in this year’s long-track trials, including Jonathan TobonJordan Stolz and Piper Yde11, who will aim to take advantage of the home ice and earn their place in Italy later this winter.
