Halloween spirit is strong in Milwaukee this month, but the real thrills are happening on the field, on the ice, and across the city. From playoff runs to national recognition and hometown heroes, Milwaukee sports continue to deliver standout performances and unforgettable moments. Here are three things to know from Sports Milwaukee in October.

TEAMS '25

Milwaukee Shines at TEAMS ’25

Earlier this month, Sports Milwaukee attended the TEAMS ’25 Conference & Expo in Columbus, Ohio, the largest gathering of sporting event rightsholders in the country. The team met with 38 event organizers from across the nation, and the excitement surrounding Milwaukee was off the charts.

Adding to the momentum, Milwaukee earned the SportsTravel Award for Best Amateur Sports Event for hosting the USA Fencing Summer Nationals in July. The recognition highlighted Milwaukee’s teamwork, hospitality, and ability to deliver exceptional experiences for athletes and fans alike. The week was filled with proud wins, new connections, and plenty of inspiration to keep Milwaukee in the game as one of the top sports cities in the country. The team looks forward to welcoming the TEAMS Conference to Milwaukee in 2027.

Brewers Make Magical NLCS Run

After a phenomenal season filled with pocket pancakes, clubhouse chemistry, and pure magic, the Milwaukee Brewers made an unforgettable run to the NLCS before falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Along the way, the team tied a franchise record for most wins in a season, clinched its third consecutive N.L. Central title, and defeated the Chicago Cubs in the divisional series.

This Brewers squad captured national attention and hearts across Wisconsin. With much of the roster expected to return next year, anticipation is already building for another thrilling season at American Family Field. Go Brewers!

Party Animals Coming to Milwaukee

The action continues in 2026 when Banana Ball comes to Milwaukee for the first time. The Banana Ball Championship League will play two games on June 6 and 7, 2026, at American Family Field.
