Yeah, that really happened. The Milwaukee Brewers have won the World Series.
The team not only advanced in the playoffs, not only brought home a pennant for the first time since 1982, and not only WON THE WORLD SERIES, but they did it in style. Going 11-2 throughout the playoffs, they were dominant and relentless and undaunted and, frankly, inevitable. And with their series-clinching win last night, they’re champions. What a team. What a moment for Milwaukee. And what a time to catch you up on everything happening in our city.
Milwaukee Brewers Win the World Series
The Milwaukee Brewers are WORLD CHAMPIONS! That has a nice ring to it. After winning 103 games in the regular season, the Milwaukee Brewers stole the hearts and minds of baseball-loving fans everywhere this postseason with their exciting brand of small ball and lockdown bullpen, as they advanced through the NLDS against the Padres, the NLCS against the Dodgers and into the World Series against the Rays.
Something magical happened: the team brought home the city’s first pennant in 44 years and won its first-ever World Series, but just as amazing are the fans and communities that came together to celebrate it. Watch parties throughout the city filled up; the Deer District was once again packed with fans hungry for another championship, and for Games 3, 4 and 5, American Family Field was filled with 31,000+ fans to cheer them on and watch the action on the big screen, 1,000 miles away.
TEAMS Conference & Expo: Milwaukee is on Deck
And while the Brewers were busy making history, Sports Development Manager Abi Hammonds, Senior Event Experience & Housing Manager Andrew Knuth and Director of Sports Milwaukee Marissa Werner were down in Birmingham, Alabama, for the 2026 TEAMS Conference & Expo! We had a packed schedule, with more than 25 appointments to connect with sports event organizers, catch up with industry colleagues and talk about all the exciting things happening in Milwaukee's sports scene.
Of course, with the Brewers in the World Series, we couldn't leave our Milwaukee pride at home. We brought Cheddar along for the trip and took him all over Birmingham to cheer on the Crew as they made their championship run. And with Milwaukee set to host TEAMS in 2027, we had plenty more to celebrate! We can't wait to welcome the sports tourism industry to our city next year and show you what Milwaukee can do!
Banana Ball is Back
American Family Field isn't only home to the World Series champions! Next summer, Banana Ball is returning to Milwaukee for a second consecutive year. After selling out a Major League Baseball stadium for the first time ever in 2026, the Party Animals are coming back for more, taking on the Firefighters on August 13 and 14, 2027. Expect trick plays, dancing and plenty of surprises as Banana Ball returns for two more nights of baseball unlike anything else. Want to catch the action? The ticket lottery list is open through tomorrow. Let's play two!
