Falcon Bowl

This classic corner tavern was built in 1882. Bowling lanes were added in 1898 and certified in 1913, making this the sixth oldest continual bowling operation in the country.

Holler House

At Holler House, you can find the oldest sanctioned lanes in the country (built in 1908), and yes, you can still play on them – provided you call ahead to make sure some neighborhood kids are available to work as pinsetters. Ranked by Esquire as one of the best bars in America, Holler House is a true neighborhood gem. In addition to the historic bowling lanes downstairs, you’ll also find nearly 1,000 bras left by female patrons hanging from various fixtures in the tavern.

JB’s on 41

Coming with the kids? Bring the family to bowl a few frames on 25 traditional lanes at JB’s on 41, featuring automatic bumper bowling, small shoes, and balls in all sorts of sizes and colors. The Speed Zone Game Room features retro arcade favorites and state-of-the-art games that kids and parents will both love.

Koz’s Mini Bowl

Another South Side institution, Koz’s Mini Bowl is an old-school corner bar that serves as Milwaukee’s home for mini “duckpin” bowling. Reservations for bowling are recommended, and these lanes are also manned by human pinsetters – remember to bring a tip! If you have some pint-sized bowlers who want to give duckpin bowling a try, check out The Thirsty Duck in nearby Wauwatosa.

Landmark Lanes
