Located about an hour outside the city, the scenic ride to this Catholic shrine is a favorite among local bikers, especially when the fall colors start to turn. Once you reach the basilica, take in the view from atop the Scenic Tower – you might need to leave your leathers behind to climb the 178 stairs, but it’s worth it.

Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive

Undeniably one of the best rides in southeastern Wisconsin, this scenic route is dotted with geological landmarks, lakes, historical sites, shops, and more. The full route covers 115 miles, from Whitewater Lake in Walworth County on the southern end to Elkhart Lake in Sheboygan County in the north.
