Jan. 20 - 30, 2022 promotional campaign complements Milwaukee Hotel Month, encourages museum trips in tandem with hotel stays

VISIT Milwaukee is excited to announce the inaugural Museum Days, a special campaign highlighting Milwaukee’s robust museum scene. The promotion entices out of town visitors to experience all that the city has to offer at competitive prices.

"January is a great time to visit and stay in Milwaukee, and Museum Days enhances an already vibrant MKE calendar offering something for everyone," said Peggy Williams-Smith, president and CEO of VISIT Milwaukee. "Sports lovers can cheer on our local college basketball teams, catch an Admirals hockey game, take the family to a Wave soccer game, and head to the Deer District to see our 2021 NBA Champions, the Milwaukee Bucks. Arts fans have a few days left in January to see Beyond Van Gogh, an immersive art experience at the Wisconsin Center. Then, later in the month, art lovers can take part in Gallery Night MKE, the art gallery hop bringing the city together around the downtown area’s magnificent art scene. And Milwaukee Hotel Month allows you to stay at dozens of our hotels at remarkable rates all month long."

More than 20 Milwaukee-area museums are participating in this campaign taking place Jan. 20 - Jan. 30. Museums offer either free, $1, $5, $10, or $15 admission during Museum days. The tiered pricing mirrors Hotel Month's approach that includes overnight rates of $75, $100, $125, or $150. The combination of both campaigns allows visitors to stay and play in Milwaukee at prices much more affordable than in other major cities.

"Our museums are a wonderful asset to the Greater Milwaukee area and to the entire Midwest region," Williams-Smith said. "We're delighted that visitors will be able to enjoy several of these participating museums this month by making a mini vacation out of their Milwaukee trip."
