For the second consecutive year, Milwaukee has been recognized as the No. 3 best big city in the U.S. by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler in the publication’s prestigious annual Readers' Choice Awards. This honor solidifies Milwaukee’s position as a top-tier destination, reflecting the city’s unique blend of Midwestern charm, cultural richness, and vibrant offerings that continue to captivate visitors from around the globe.

“We are incredibly proud that Milwaukee has once again been named one of the best big cities in the country by Condé Nast Traveler readers,” said Peggy Williams-Smith, president and CEO of Visit Milwaukee. “This recognition is a testament to our thriving arts scene, diverse culinary landscape, historic architecture, and the warmth of our residents. It highlights what we as Milwaukeeans have always known—this is a city that welcomes visitors with open arms, rich experiences, and an energy you can’t find anywhere else.”

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are among the most coveted accolades in the travel industry, as they are voted on by more than half a million readers each year. Milwaukee's consistent ranking reaffirms the city’s reputation as a must-visit destination. Milwaukee continues to attract both first-time visitors and returning guests with its rich history, stunning lakefront, and a vibrant mix of neighborhoods that showcase the city’s dynamic culture, resulting in over $2 billion in direct visitor spending in Milwaukee County alone.
