The Milwaukee Theater District is pleased to announce the second annual Milwaukee Theater Week. From October 10-20, Milwaukee’s performing arts groups and entertainment venues will aim to raise awareness of Milwaukee's world-class performing arts scene while encouraging visitors to take advantage of discounts and incentives. Stay tuned on Milwaukee Theater District’s Facebook, Instagram and X for details.
Leading up to Milwaukee Theater Week and in celebration of Milwaukee’s distinction as the nation’s top city for theater seats per capita, the Milwaukee Theater District and Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 are launching a unique promotion that places pairs of theater chairs in unexpected spots throughout the Cream City, dubbed The Best Seats in MKE. This inventive installation invites residents and visitors alike to sit, pause and appreciate Milwaukee’s vibrant theater scene, while also offering a perfect vantage point for the city's iconic landmarks. Each pair of chairs serves as a reminder of the city's commitment to the arts and its rich cultural tapestry, making theater accessible and visible in everyday life. The theater seats are pieces of history from the Milwaukee Rep’s Quadracci Powerhouse, which is currently being transformed into the Associated Bank Theater Center. The chairs will be on display starting September 18 through the conclusion of Milwaukee Theater Week on October 20.
