The Milwaukee Bucks may not play a game of basketball until October 22, but there’s been no shortage of excitement this offseason. The team signed veteran center Myles Turner and guard Cole Anthony, they re-signed Kevin Porter Jr., Jericho Sims and Taurean Prince, and they parted with 2021 NBA Champions Brook Lopez and Pat Connaughton as well as star point guard Damian Lillard.

It’s the dawn of a new era of Bucks basketball, and today, the next chapter begins with the announcement of the team’s 2025-26 regular season schedule. Here are some matchups to watch for at Fiserv Forum.

Highlights

Rivalries

Bulls
November 7, February 3

The Bulls didn’t make it out of the play-in round last year, but that has done little to cool off the rivalry between these two teams. They split the regular season series at two games apiece last season, and this year are looking to capitalize on a young and growing core that features Nikola Vucevic, Josh Giddey, Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu. With another four-game matchup this year, the I-94 rivalry is alive and well.

Detroit Pistons
November 22, December 3

After a decade of living in the shadow of the Bucks and Cavaliers, the Pistons look like they’re finally building something in Detroit. Is it enough to contend? Time will tell. Boasting a young core headlined by Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren, the Pistons are no longer an easy win for their opponents. With playoff hopes in mind and a pair of early regular season matchups in Milwaukee, this is a series that could get interesting in a hurry.

Indiana Pacers
February 6, March 15

Over the past couple of years, the Bucks have developed a white-hot rivalry with the neighboring club. The Pacers have ushered an injury-struck Bucks squad out of the playoffs each of the last two seasons. The Bucks’ acquisition of long-time Pacers center Myles Turner could not have landed particularly well in Indianapolis, adding fresh fuel to what is already a roaring fire. In a rivalry fueled by off-court antics and physical on-court play, this is one series to keep your eye on.

Cleveland
February 25, March 16

The Cleveland Cavaliers had the best record in the Eastern Conference last season. Then they came up against a Knicks team that quite simply would not be denied. Returning most of their team this season, headlined by Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, the team bolstered its roster with the addition of Lonzo Ball and De’Andre Hunter with the hopes of extending last year’s second-round run into a Finals finish.

Marquee Matchups

Houston Rockets
November 9

The Houston Rockets rocked the sporting world when they traded for Kevin Durant, turning the team from a young upstart into a genuine contender. One of the league's most talented small forwards of all time now joins Fred VanVleet, Jabari Smith and a talented cast as they look to shock the league and capture Houston’s first championship in over 30 years.

Los Angeles Lakers
November 15

LeBron may just play forever, but you’ll still want to catch the Giannis-LeBron matchup while you can. The Los Angeles Lakes roll into town early this season, as the West Coast team rolls out its new attack that includes trade deadline acquisition Luka Doncic and offseason pickup DeAndre Ayton and looks to return to contending form against a Bucks team that has title hopes of their own on the line. This sole Milwaukee matchup between the Bucks and the Lakers will be a litmus test for their fresh rosters, bringing a playoff atmosphere to Fiserv Forum.

San Antonio Spurs

March 28

Last year’s Wemby-Giannis matchup captivated casual and die-hard fans in equal measure. The Greek Freak took on the Alien in a duel that would’ve inspired poetry in ancient Rome, with Giannis putting up 44 points—in addition to 14 rebounds and seven assists—while Wembanyama put up 27 of his own. Like last year, the two teams only match up once in the regular season, but unlike last year, that matchup takes place in Milwaukee. Get your tickets early to see the clash of these two giants in their second-ever matchup.

Los Angeles Clippers
March 29

The Clippers made a series of offseason moves this year. Enough to consider them a bona fide super team? We’d say so. Adding to a core of Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and Ivica Zubac, the team added shooting guard Bradley Beal, point guard Chris Paul and former Milwaukee Buck center Brook Lopez to create a roster that’s as talented as any in the league. As the season draws to a close, the two (likely) playoff-bound teams will test their mettle against one another at Fiserv Forum on March 29.
