Something massive just stomped its way into the Milwaukee County Zoo, bringing thrilling prehistoric adventures for dino lovers of all ages! 

 

The Milwaukee County Zoo’s 2025 Summer Exhibit, Exploration Dinosaur, is now open and ready for action! From now through October 5, for just $4, you can journey into the past and explore the roar of life-sized dinosaurs, engaging hands-on activities and jaw-dropping discoveries.  

 

Your adventure to this Jurassic park begins behind the Small Mammals Building! Featuring more than 20 life-sized, moving and roaring animatronic dinosaurs, from the mighty T. Rex to the plant-eating Stegosaurus, this thrilling, interactive experience brings the long-lost world of dinosaurs back to life right before your eyes!

Dinos on Display 

These dinosaurs aren’t just big, they’re dino-sized, scientifically accurate and brimming with prehistoric charm! Here’s a sneak peek at some of the stars of the show: 

 
Stegosaurus 

Famous for its distinctive back plates, this herbivore had skin-covered armor growing directly from its skin, not the bones. 

 
T. Rex 

The king of dinosaurs, this colossal carnivore measured 42 feet long and had teeth the size of bananas, with a roar that could shake the ground. 

 
Euoplocephalus 

This gentle giant was fully equipped with bony armor and a clubbed tail, making it a true tank of the dinosaur world.

Stomp Into Roar & Explore Wednesdays 

Every Wednesday from Memorial Day through Labor Day (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.), the dino fun gets even bigger with Roar & Explore Days! These special events feature four interactive stations designed to bring learning to life. All Roar & Explore activities are included in the exhibit admission price! 

 

Dino Detective Dig 

Use excavation tools to uncover fossils and document your findings just like a real paleontologist. 

 

Dino Delight 

Match teeth to the correct dinner plate and learn about what each dinosaur ate. 

 

Scavenger Hunt with Eggs 

Explore the exhibit and find hidden dinosaur eggs, marking them on your very own map.
