Getting from A to B to everything you want to see has never been easier! Just follow these five quick steps and pave your personalized trail to help you explore the 414.
Step 1: Explore Guides
Front and center on the home screen, you’ll see a button that reads “Browse The Guides” above a carousel of “Featured Guides.” These options will take you to the Guides tab, which is also available by clicking on the map icon at the bottom of the page.
Here, you’ll uncover many of Milwaukee's top attractions broken down into categories. No matter if you’re looking for a place to grab a bite, brew or something to do, the map’s got everything you need to plan your perfect stay in Milwaukee.
Step 2: Find Attractions on the Map
Maybe you’re more of a free spirit, someone who likes to go with the flow and let the moment guide their compass to the next stop. For you, there’s the map.
Click on the “Explore The Map” tab on the home page or click the pin icon at the bottom of the screen. This will open an interactive digital visitors map that allows you to see what’s around you.
Designed to mirror the physical visitors map, the digital map lets you blaze your own trail. Explore things to do just steps away from your exact location and navigate to them with just a few taps.
Just select the icon of what you want to see, then the up arrow in the top left corner of the business card. There, you’ll find the address, website listings and the “FIND WAY” button, which will give you detailed directions using the map app on your phone.
Step 3: Find Your Favorites Under the Star Button
Memorizing your entire itinerary is impossible, and let’s face it, that list of places you want to see in your phone’s notes app just doesn’t have all the information you need to maximize your stay in the Cream City. For a complete roadmap to the dream getaway, you can keep your favorites all in one place.
As you explore this interactive map, you can select your favorites by tapping on the star icon next to each attraction.
Once you’ve explored virtually the entire city, uncovering all the restaurants, museums, bars, galleries, theaters, breweries, shops, icons and everything you could ever hope to see in Milwaukee, you can find them all in one place.
Just tap the Favorites tab, a star icon at the bottom of the screen. Once there, you will find all the places you want to explore in the 414 saved, a ready-made itinerary just for you.
Step 4: Add to Your Home Screen for Easy Access
Now that you’ve created your own itinerary, you’ve explored Milwaukee and found all you want to see through this digital interactive map and discovered all the hidden gems tucked away throughout the city, let’s make sure it’s easy to find.
The Visit Milwaukee digital visitors map isn’t an app, but you can still add it to your home screen for easy access.
All you have to do is click here and then tap the download button at the bottom of the screen.
Once you've arrived, select the instructions that apply to your device (Safari for iPhones, Chrome for Androids). There, you’ll find instructions on how to add the Visit Milwaukee digital map to your home screen for safekeeping.
