Today was supposed to be a normal day. It was supposed to be a Tuesday like any other. Then something happened. Something momentous. Global superstar Taylor Swift and her long-time beau, podcaster and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, announced their engagement for all the world to see. That’s right, in a post via Instagram, the couple announced that the English teacher is marrying the Gym teacher, and no one can stop the hype train.

With an inability to focus on anything else, we knuckled down, put our brains together and rounded up a list of wedding venues inspired by the lyrics of the incomparable Swift. “It’s a love story, baby, just say yes.”

Marry Me, Milwaukee: A Swiftie Setlist

1. Ivy House  + “Ivy”

There are some matches that are just too perfect to pass up. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich. You’ve got coffee and doughnuts. Let’s not forget a Bloody Mary and its chaser. Of course, the couple of the hour, Taylor and Travis. Really, the Ivy House and Swift’s song “Ivy” are a match made in Milwaukee. The venue and the song have little to do with one another, but the serendipity alone is enough to make the list. Really, the song’s wistful tone and the venue’s inviting charm may not align perfectly. And yet together, they create a perfectly mismatched couple like another newly betrothed page we know.

2. Baird Ballroom + “ME”

Very few places shine brighter in Milwaukee than the Baird Ballroom. In a city full of iconic venues, this one stands out with lights that make every celebration glow. Somewhere over the rainbow, you’ll find the bright lights of the Baird Ballroom, the next stop on this magical Milwaukee tour. Featuring mesmerizing lights that arc above guests in an endless array of color, you could imagine Taylor and Travis dancing along to Swift’s “Me”:

“Like a rainbow with all of the colors
Baby doll, when it comes to a lover
I promise that you'll never find another like
Me-e-e”

Of course, with its Sky View Terrace overlooking the Milwaukee skyline, the Baird Ballroom sets the stage for unforgettable moments in the heart of the city for every couple.

3. Milwaukee Theater District + “Love Story”

“Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.” Every venue, every stage, every moment; romance, drama and standing ovations take center stage in the Milwaukee Theater District. Venues throughout the district light the marquee throughout the year with weddings at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, the Miller High Life Theatre and more throughout the downtown area. Exactly the kind of place Taylor and Travis might say ‘I do’ in Milwaukee, sealing it all with a “baby, just say yes.”

4. The Atrium + “Starlight”

“Red” is where we turn to find our next spark of inspiration, and Shorewood is where we find it. The Atrium’s rooftop, overlooking the North Shore suburb, is a beautiful location to host a wedding. And when the sun sets, the star-speckled sky from The Atrium is a “Starlight” scene:

“The whole place
Was dressed to the nines
And we were dancing, dancing
Like we're made of starlight”

The Atrium’s sleek indoor space and rooftop views set the stage for unforgettable weddings. It’s a Shorewood spot where every love story feels a little more like a Taylor Swift song.

5. Vista + “You Are in Love”

“You two are dancing in a snow globe, 'round and 'round.” Vista offers spectacular sights all year round, but in the wintertime, it turns weddings into an enchanting snow globe that makes the day that little bit more special. Vista’s upper floors give guests sweeping views of downtown and space for up to 225 to celebrate together. It’s a venue that turns milestones into memories and leaves couples feeling like their own love story is sparkling right before their eyes.

6. Grain Exchange + “Cardigan”

“And when I felt like I was an old cardigan / Under someone’s bed / You put me on and said I was your favorite.” The Grain Exchange proves that history never goes out of style. With its soaring ceilings, ornate details and timeless architecture, weddings here feel both grand and intimate. Bartolotta Catering & Events pairs the setting with restaurant-quality cuisine and seamless service, making this downtown landmark a place where every couple feels like someone’s favorite.

Jan Serr Studio Wedding

7. Jan Serr Studios + “Out of the Woods”

Jan Serr Studio is the kind of place Taylor would choose if she ever wanted a Milwaukee love story of her own. With floor-to-ceiling views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline, the sixth-floor studio sets the scene for weddings where “the rest of the world was black and white, but we were in screaming color,” the kind of venue you could imagine her and Travis twirling through. The gallery below offers a flexible space for receptions straight out of one of her eras, making this East Side venue the perfect stage for a happily-ever-after.

8. Villa Terrace Museum & Gardens + “Delicate”

Villa Terrace is one of Milwaukee’s most popular wedding venues, and it is easy to see why. With Italian Renaissance-style architecture, gardens that spill toward Lake Michigan and a backdrop that belongs in a love song, the whole space seems designed for romance. As Taylor would say in “Delicate,” “Handsome, you’re a mansion with a view.”

9. The Cooperage + “Mine”

“Do you remember, we were sittin’ there by the water? Do you remember all the [Hoan Bridge] lights on the water?” At The Cooperage, those lines from “Mine” play out in real time. Set along the Milwaukee River, the venue feels built for love stories, with city lights reflecting off the water and a space that’s equal parts historic and electric. It is the kind of place where a wedding could turn into the chorus of your favorite song.

10. Greenhouse No. 7  + “Cruel Summer”

With glass walls, glowing chandeliers and the night sky overhead, Greenhouse No. 7 feels made for weddings that stay with you. It is the kind of place where “I snuck in through the garden gate, every night that summer, just to seal my fate” could play out for real, with vows under the stars, no matter the season. Just next door, the Domes add even more magic with tropical blooms and desert backdrops.

Anodyne Coffee Roasters Centerpiece

11. Anodyne Coffee Roasters + “Begin Again”

“But on a Wednesday in a café, I watched it begin again.” At Anodyne’s Walker’s Point Roastery, weddings carry that same refreshed feeling. The cream city brick, exposed beams and reclaimed 40-foot bar give the space a warmth that makes every reception unforgettable. Just a mile from downtown, it is a place where love never ends.

12. Boerner Botanical Gardens + “Lavender Haze”

At Boerner Botanical Gardens, weddings are surrounded by blooms that change with the seasons, from spring blossoms to autumn color. Couples can choose gazebos, rose-lined paths or scenic overlooks for their ceremony, each one carrying its own romantic charm. It is the kind of place where you find yourself thinking, “I want to stay in that lavender haze,” with a setting that makes every moment feel timeless.

Bonus: Because 13 is Taylor’s favorite number...

The Factory on Barclay

13. The Factory on Barclay + "Karma"

Favorite number, favorite person. Could this blog end any other way? “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs / Coming straight home to [her],” and we figured that Travis Kelce deserved his due as well. While plenty argue that it’s all scripted, football doesn’t have lyrics that translate cleanly into a wedding venue blog. However, The Factory on Barclay does have a story to tell. The building was once home to the Original Cheesehead factory, which pumped out millions of bright yellow hats, the hallmark of Packers fans everywhere. While not rivals, strictly speaking, the Packers and Chiefs have a long, entangled history that dates back to Super Bowl I, where Green Bay got the better of their Kansas City counterparts.

So, here’s one for the guy on the Chiefs – podcaster extraordinaire – Travis Kelce.
