As we roll along on our National Travel and Tourism Week celebration today, we’d like to recognize our volunteers. Often the first face a visitor sees when they arrive at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport or aboard a cruise ship, the first person to greet meeting attendees at Baird Center and the first place travelers turn to for questions and things to do in our incredible city, these dedicated Milwaukeeans wear their love for our city on their sleeve, offering their free time to help visitors experience the very best of what our city has to offer. We thank them for their hard work and dedication to making our city shine.
At the beginning of 2025, Visit Milwaukee instituted a volunteer of the month program, honoring the efforts of one standout volunteer. This month, we recognize one of our long-serving volunteers, Sandra Wicker, for her commitment to outstanding service and hospitality to our many guests. Sandra is a lifelong Milwaukee resident who has volunteered with our organization for the past 17 years. Beyond Visit Milwaukee, she also spends her time volunteering at several local organizations, including the Pabst Theater Group, where she helps clean the Pabst Theater’s chandelier and all 33,000 dazzling crystals that hang high above the crowd every night.

Volunteer for USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships
The USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships are coming back to Milwaukee this year! After a brief hiatus in 2024, the ultimate endurance competition returns for its fourth event in five years, and we need your help to make it the best one yet!
