As a secret Cubs fan who lives in Milwaukee, I know I’m deep in enemy territory. But that also makes me the perfect person to show my fellow Chicago fans how to do Milwaukee right. 
 

So, if you’re making the trip north for a Cubs and Brewers series, consider this your insider’s guide to Milwaukee, written by a Cubs fan who knows the city, loves the city and can tell you what to eat, drink and explore before and after first pitch.

Harley-Davidson Museum Family

When you’re not slinging back hot dogs and beers, be sure to check out the iconic American brand that calls the city home: Harley-Davidson. A visit to the Harley-Davidson Museum screams Milwaukee. The museum is home to more than 450 motorcycles, including the oldest known Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Serial Number One. Be sure to make a pit stop at their shop, where you can design your own denim jacket with Harley-Davidson patches.

It’s not a visit to Milwaukee unless you have a cold one with cheese curds. And one of the best spots in Milwaukee to check that off your list is Lakefront Brewery. Get a taste of the city’s brewing legacy with its award-winning brewery tour that is sure to make you laugh, then savor its award-winning cheese curds at the beer hall.

Another Milwaukee favorite that you've got to add to your itinerary is the Milwaukee Public Market. With over 15 restaurants in one food hall, there is a mix of local staples like brats and squeaky-fresh cheese, but there’s also a smattering of global flavors, from seafood to Thai.  
 

Looking to do something Wisconsin-esque? Complete the Bloody Mary tour. You can order each of the six (SIX!) different Bloodys inside the Milwaukee Public Market, each with different flavor profiles and wow-worthy toppings. One might cap it off with a flourish of full rib, the next a fresh shrimp and another the classic brat and cheese curds. It’s not the 2016 World Series, but it certainly tastes like victory.

3rd Street Market Hall 

If you don’t catch 3rd Street Market Hall at American Family Field, no worries, because you have your chance to stop by the OG location in downtown Milwaukee. This is perfect for families of all ages. They’ve got free-to-play games to keep everyone satisfied, whether you’re a shuffleboard slider, a bag toss champion or a giant Jenga genius. Better yet, reserve your spot and work on your swing at the TopGolf Swing Suite located just inside the Market Hall with two full-swing simulator bays.  

Pabst Mansion

Milwaukee is home to a rich brewing history. What better way to experience it than with a tour at Pabst Mansion, a Gilded Age mansion where the one and only Captain Frederick Pabst oversaw his brewing empire. Home to Milwaukee’s pioneer brewing family, it’s worth the visit, and you can even enjoy the Captain’s creation, an ice-cold PBR, while walking through its halls.

Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery 

If you still haven’t gotten your beer fix, have a pint at Best Place, the hidden gem at the former corporate headquarters of Pabst Brewing Company. Celebrate the history of Pabst with the historic Blue Ribbon Hall, The Great Hall and the Captains Corner.  

Welcome to Milwaukee, Cubs fans. Just don’t expect everyone to call it Wrigley North.
