Opening Day is upon us! All around the country, the smell of meat sizzling over hot charcoal coals, the buzz of parking lots before a ballgame, the crisp sounds of bats cracking and the stunning spectacle of everything that makes baseball America’s game. The return of baseball is an unofficial holiday for many who follow the sport, marking the official start of spring.

As we eagerly await the Milwaukee Brewers home opener next week, we figured there's no better time to start planning your 2024 Opening Day.

For the second consecutive year, the Milwaukee Brewers will open their season on the road. This year, the club will head to the Big Apple for a three-game series under the bright lights of  Citi Field against the New York Mets. Headlined by electric SS Francisco Lindor, the power-hitting Polar Bear 1B Pete Alonso and lights-out Pitcher Edwin Diaz, the Mets begin the campaign hungry for a taste of the club's first playoff appearance since 2022 and first N.L. East crown since 2015. Brewers fans will recognize a few familiar faces in the opposing dugout as well, as former members of the Crew take on their old team, including Pitcher Adrian Houser, Catcher Omar Narvaez and Outfielder Tyrone Taylor. The Brew Crew will look to overpower the Mets with a hard-slugging trio of Christian Yelich, Willy Adames and William Contreras highlighting the lineup.

Matchup Preview: vs. Minnesota Twins, Tuesday, April 2, at 3:10 p.m.

Coming off the team's second A.L. Central title in the past four years, the Minnesota Twins enter 2024 as a favorite to retain control of their division behind a stable of quality Starting Pitchers, including ace Pablo Lopez, Jhoan Duran and Chris Paddock, setting the stage for quality Pitchers' duels with the Brewers' Freddy Peralta, Wade Miley and Joe Ross under the hitter-friendly dome of American Family Field. The renewal of an annual interstate border battle, the Brewers will look to their promising bullpen to close out games down the stretch, including the electric young prospect Abner Uribe, Joel Pyamps and Elvis Peguero to keep Twins' DH Byron Buxton, Royce Lewis and Carlos Correa in check.

No matter the outcome, after six long months, baseball's back under the lights of American Family Field. Grab your Crew, pack the tailgate and get your tickets today to see the Brewers this season!
