What is Banana Ball?
It’s Banana Ball, a whacky, unpredictable take on baseball, adored for its rule-breaking style packed with full-stadium theatrics and buzz-worthy performances. It’s part sport, part improv and pure entertainment. It’s a craze that’s elevated beyond baseball lovers, amassing fans from across the land. In fact, in 2025, the Banana Ball Championship League is expected to draw over 3.2 million fans, with games also airing on ESPN and ESPN+.
Adding two more teams to the league this year, over the course of a 50-game season, the six teams will go head-to-head at 75 stadiums across 45 states.
True to form, the Banana Ball Championship League does things a little differently than their MLB counterparts. At the end of the regular season, the top three teams will make the playoffs, along with the winner of the Banana Ball Open, for their chance to advance to the first-ever Banana Bowl on October 10, 2026.
It’s bananas. A lot of bananas in one sentence anyway, but it all comes together for a bigger, more exciting Banana Ball season in 2026, and you can be a part of it!
