Thanks to interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, your kids won’t even know they’re learning when you visit one of Milwaukee’s family-friendly museums. You’re welcome!

  1. Milwaukee’s only museum designed specifically for children 10 and younger. Kids learn about the world around them through making, doing, and exploring in exhibits like Home Town, a kid-sized community complete with a grocery store, TV station, post office, and even a Harley-Davidson dealership!

    Discovery World

    Kids get a hands-on experience with science and technology at Discovery World. Science exhibits like Physics & You, The Music Factory, Les Paul’s House of Sound, and Innovation Planet are filled with opportunities to learn and do. Explore the Reiman Aquarium or sail and take classes on S/V Denis Sullivan, a recreation of a 19th century Great Lakes schooner, to experience the world of freshwater and the Great Lakes.

    Harley-Davidson Museum

    This museum has plenty of fun for those a few years shy of getting their motorcycle license. Interactive exhibits showcase the extraordinary products, people, history, and culture of this iconic American company. Little visitors can get their photo taken on one of the bikes in the Experience Gallery, and can try on a pint-sized leather jacket and rev the engine on a bike that’s just their size in the Imagination Station.

    It’s easy for kids to get into art thanks to interactive programming. Free ArtPacks are filled with art supplies, picture books, puppets, and more, all to help kids interact with the art in the galleries. The Kohl’s Art Generation program provides even more interactive fun with a special gallery and lab all week long and open studio sessions on weekends.
