Follow the Menomonee River to Twisted Fisherman, a hideaway that feels like a dockside daydream. Locals arrive by boat or car, settle into the sun and toast to the easy pace of a summer afternoon. A little farther north, Lakefront Brewery keeps the city's brewing legacy alive, pairing craft beers with kayak docks and river views. For something a bit breezier, Roundhouse Beer Garden at McKinley Marina, opening soon, has beer garden vibes beside the bobbing boats of Lake Michigan.

Two newcomers, Solomon's at The Trade and Upper Bar, are shaking up the scene with modern flair. Solomon's glows beside Fiserv Forum, with flickering fire pits and chants of "Bucks in Six," still echo from the plaza below. Upper Bar, meanwhile, floats above the river with oysters, jazz and a view that complements the 360-degree skyline views.

Even the city's alcohol-free options come with a view. At Blu's afternoon tea inside The Pfister Hotel, Rishi Tea and pastries pair with panoramic sights at great heights. And at Colectivo on the Lakefront, coffee drinkers claim the best seats in town, steps from McKinley Beach.
